Welcome to YouRockRed!
Because rockstars don't do paperwork.Working as a journalist, promoter and event organizer for the last 14 years I discovered there was a huge need for artist development and grant writing services in the Canadian music industry. Unless you had a label or management to guide you, accessing that world of sold-out tours and record sales can seem just a dream. As I’d witnessed in the past with managing bands, it was organization and planning skills to get there that were the biggest challenges. Besides, YouRockRed knows rock stars don’t do paperwork.
After almost 3 years as YouRockRed, successfully completing grants for artists like Kalle Mattson, Adaline, The Sunparlour Players and many more, we’ve gotten over $500,000 worth of funding for our clients to make their dream albums, go on tour across Europe and even land a record deal. YouRockRed isn’t just grants, but about providing insider knowledge and guidance to help artists reach their career goals, be playing SXSW or securing funding to record their first LP.
We want to see your band or project do well. We only work with artists we believe in and that we feel can benefit from our services. We’ve written grants for Juno award-winning bands, but emerging artists are super fun to help too! [That said, we're super busy and if we're not the right fit for your music or career level, we'll let you know.]
At the end of the day, we just love music. If you don’t see a friendly redhead rocking out at your next show, send me an email so we can help YOU rock!
“Samantha has been an integral part of our band’s successes and I’m happy that we’ve been able to join the YouRockRed family. She’s always there when we/I have an abundance of silly questions. She is always informative, professional, and thorough with her work.”
- Jon Chandler,
Amos the Transparent
“In my 8+ years in the industry, I’ve found it rare to meet someone as passionate, caring, and hardworking as Sam. She goes above and beyond in all she does, and truly cares for her clients and their success. She adds a level of professionalism and passion not seen nearly enough, and is a true gem to the industry.”
– Angela Mastrogiacomo,
Muddy Paw PR (USA)
“Samantha is super professional and easy to work with! She is always on top of things and follows up with me frequently, and in times of need is readily available to answer whatever questions I have, even if they are silly. Her great taste in music and her critical ear has been super helpful in helping us decide which songs to move forward with on any given project we are working on.

Sam effortlessly introduces you to crucial people to network with. She gives great direction and helps you clarify your vision. This kind of ease can only come when a person has deep knowledge of and deep passion for music. Sam equally supports and promotes the arts. There is just something unmistakably genuine in how she runs things, not to mention unmistakably badass in how she gets things done.”
